Welcome to the adventure of a lifetime! The PADI Open Water Diver Course is your first step into the exciting underwater world. Start your adventure today with the PADI Open Water Diver course online or stop by a Sport Chalet location to pick up your training materials. For your convenience, all general academic study takes place at your pace and in the comfort of your home. Afterwards, you'll meet with your instructor to ensure that you understand the information, and to receive expert counseling on equipment selection, continuing education and where to dive after the course.

If you're a certified Open Water Diver, it's time to move up and experience real adventure with Sport Chalet by taking the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course. This course will help you sharpen your basic diving skills and learn new techniques in five specialized diving activities. After finishing a short pool session, you'll make five ocean dives, including a core Deep and Navigation dive and three additional Adventure Dives to complete the course.

Next on the list is the challenging and rewarding PADI Rescue Diver Course. This valuable course expands your knowledge and experience level and teaches you to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although challenging, the course also offers a rewarding way to build up your confidence by teaching you how to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies using a variety of techniques.

SCUBA CLASSES AND TRAINING: Specialty

Focus on the underwater activities that interest you most. Specialty certifications expose you to exciting new skills and environments. Boat Diver, Cavern Diver, Deep Diver, Equipment Specialist, Night Diver, Search and Recovery, Underwater Photographer and Wreck Diver are just a few; even custom specialties designed by your local PADI Instructor are available. Most courses can be completed in a weekend, with emphasis on hands-on learning. That means diving!
