Instructor Development Course (IDC) Information
The PADI Instructor Development Course is the dive industry's most sought after and widely respected comprehensive instructor training program. This course develops your ability to teach diving by training you in basic instructional theory and its application. In addition, you get hands-on practice and dive industry specific information you need for success at the professional level.
The PADI Instructor Development Course consists of two section: the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program. This structure gives you the option of dividing the course into two blocks to fit your schedule. However, you may prefer to complete the two portions together, going through the entire IDC in as few as eight days.
