Open Water Diver Course Information
Welcome to the adventure of a lifetime! The PADI Open Water Diver Course is your first step into the exciting underwater world. Start your adventure today with the PADI Open Water Diver course online, or stop by a Sport Chalet location to pick up training materials. all general academic study takes place at your home. Afterwards, you will meet with your instructor to ensure that you understand the information, and to receive expert counseling on equipment selection, continuing education and where to dive after the course.
Our standard group lesson consists of three 3-hour interactive workshops, three 3-hour confined water pool dives, and two days of open water dives, in which you will complete four dives. You will develop your knowledge and skill under the direct guidance of our highly qualified staff of PADI instructors. You may also choose semi-private groups (2-3 students) or private one-on-one instruction. As a student, you must own your own mask, snorkel, fins, wet suit, boots, and gloves because each piece of equipment is a personal fit. Your Instructor or Scuba Sales Associate will help you select equipment to achieve a proper fit.

Prerequisites:
Minimum Age: 15 years old (10 for PADI Junior Adventure Diver)
