Rescue Diver Course Information
The PADI Rescue Diver Course is both challenging and rewarding. This valuable course expands your knowledge and experience level and teaches you to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and will being of other divers.
Although challenging, the course also offers a rewarding way to build up your confidence by teaching you how to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies using a variety of techniques you'll also develop your rescue skills with actual hands-on scenarios both in confined water and in open water.
The knowledge development portion includes a broad range of topics:
- Self-rescue and driver stress
- Emergency management and equipment
- Panicked diver response
- In-water breathing protocols
- Dive accident scenarios
- Diving first aid
- Accident management
- Emergency procedures

Prerequisites:
Minimum Age: 15 years old (10 for PADI Junior Adventure Diver)
PADI Open Water Diver Certification
Proof of 20 or more logged dives documenting experience in deep and underwater navigation.
Current training in CPR and First Aid (less than 24 months old) is required prior ro the completion of your course.
Students must provide SCUBA equipment, gear bag, dive knife, dive slate, compass, dive light and chemical light (if doing night dive).
