Polarized

Polarized lenses block glare that is magnified by flat surfaces like water and pavement. Ordinary polarized lenses come with haze and distortion. Oakley has eliminated these problems to achieve the best polarized optics on the planet.

UV Protection

You put sunscreen on your body. Why wouldn’t you put sunglasses on your eyes? Just be aware that not all sunglasses are alike. Lenses that claim only to “block UV” don’t offer enough protection. Oakley Plutonite® lenses are different:

• Plutonite® filters out 100% of all UVA, UVB and UVC
• Protection is built in — it’s not a coating that can wear away
• Our lens contours help block UV at the top and sides

HDO-3D

New Dimension In 3D Optical Clarity
Oakley 3D glasses are optimized with HDO-3D™ to give you accurate, razor-sharp vision that makes the 3D experience truly precise:

• Ordinary 3D lenses can distort your vision by magnifying images and making things appear shifted from their true positions, but HDO-3D virtually eliminates these weaknesses.

Dynamic Insulation

The three layer Dermizax™ EV fabric is waterproof and xtremely breathable. By laminating the fabrics together allows heat and moisture to escape. Thus, keeps you comfortable and dry.

Critically Placed Fleece

Critically placed fleece is the "in-between" shells and fully insulated garments. The fleece is usually located on the chest, back and along the arms on jackets and at the knee and butt on pant. These panels are all backed with 3M™ Thinsulate™ and allows comfort and warmth.

Down Fill

Down fill is used in the puffy jackets and component pieces. The garments use 80% down 20% feather ratio and have different fill powers for different applications and different levels of warmth.

3-N-1 Compatible

Three and one compatible jackets, fleece, component jackets, and component vest are able to zip together. Even past season pieces are compatible with each other. Smaller sized components and fleece are compatible with larger jackets but not the other way around.

Removable Storm Skirt

The removable storm skirt is available on top performance levels of jackets. Gives the consumer the ability to remove the skirt if they chose not to use it.

Zipper/Snap Storm Skirt

The zipper/snap storm skirt is available on top performance levels of jackets and pants. This allows the removable storm skirt of the jacket and the top of the pant to be zipped together. The system acts as a protective barrier by preventing snow and water help keeping you warm and dry. Sizes can vary but only a size up or size down to be effective.

Snap Storm Skirt

The snap storm skirt is available on all performance levels of jackets and pants. This allows the storm skirt of the jacket and the bottom of the belt loops to be snapped together. The snap storm skirt helps keeps you warm and dry like the zipper/snap system. Sizes can vary but only a size up or size down to be effective.

Vents

Vents are available on all performance levels. Placement and number of vents vary by style. Underarm vents are a new placement for the men's line.

Magnet Warning

Magnets are key features throughout all performance levels. The double magnets hold down hoods and keep storm flaps in place on select styles.

Media Pocket Goggle Pocket

Media and goggle pockets are standard on all performance level jackets. The pockets are lined to protect electronics from freezing and lenses from being scratched. Mini pockets for headphone ear buds and attachments for radio microphones are new features on select styles.

Pant Protector

The pant protector system helps protect the bottom hem from damage. A snap on the back hem of the pant lifts it and prevents the pant cuff from being walked on or dragged. A key feature on almost all performance levels but the lowest.

Carbon X

This ultra-safe technology represents the next generation of innovative fire resistance.
