Mikey LeBlanc
Big Mike needs no introduction to those of you who have been following professional snowboarding over the past decade, but for those of you who don't know Mikey, he broke onto the scene in the early 90's shortly after moving to Summit County Colorado from the coast of Maine. After a couple years of recycling his buddies used boards, he soon found himself making boards in a factory. Next thing you know, factories were making boards for Mikey. Mike is an artist, actor, writer, poet, athlete, scholar and entrepreneur, maybe even a Guru of sorts. When Mike is not snowboarding he is merely creating all things awesome and helping others do the same! As founder and president of Holden clothing and producer of this years snowboarding film Videograss Mike has truly kept his snowboarding fresh, progressive and true to snowboarding.
Darrell Mathes
Darrell has stayed true to his roots as a native of Oregon calling Portland his home. It was in the northwest where Darrell's skills developed in the mountains and skate parks of Oregon, and along with it, some skills with a camera. Darrell's productivity and vision are a constant source of motivation for those around him. Darrell is aware of his surroundings and brings out the best in any shred session. Darrell can be seen in the Videograss series of films as he is also a partner behind the production company. This year you can find him in the VG film "Shoot The Moon". Knowing how to make things look easy on both sides of the lens really showcase Darrell's talents. It's a pleasure having feedback and promotion of our products with a team player like Darrell.
Sebastian Toutant
I could fill this page with a list of Sebs accomplishments since the age he entered the Shakedown at age 13, his first professional contest, but instead I will begin by saying Seb is now 18 and has only just begun to reach his stride. This past season Seb put one of his greatest goals behind him, an X-Games Slopestyle gold, he also released a breakthrough video part for 2011, launched www.sebtoots.com and was accepted to compete in the Slopestyle competition in the 2014 Olympics in Sochi Russia. I would also have to say Seb has had a bright past, vivid present and blinding future.
Alex Cantin
Alex is a mild mannered patient fellow and no matter how gnarly he gets on his snowboard he remains calm and consistent. This would explain why his video parts consist of shot after shot of making the near impossible, possible. Their is a consistent flow of talent hemorrhaging from Quebec, Canada, but Alex's talents and style set him apart from the rest. Alex is another participant in the Videograss film crew that sets the bar for todays freestyle professional both in the city or waist deep in the backcountry. Alex brings a lot of fun to all the team trips and has quietly gained the respect he deserves by simply letting his riding speak for itself.
Austin Hironaka
Austin Hironaka is one of those snowboarders that keeps your faith strong in the freedom that snowboarding gives us. Just when you think all snowboarders look the same, or you get tired of the same old tricks, just set your sights on Austin Hironaka and it won't take long before you realize you can always give an old trick a new style or a new trick an old tweak. There are no rules, and setting yourself apart with style is one of the greatest talents to attain. Austin's ingenuity and personality shine on and off the snow and his wicked moves on his snowboard never cease to inspire and entertain. Every team should have an Austin Hironaka.
Hana Beaman
Hana is on a constant road trip during the season. She has a relentless passion for snowboarding and is on this year round migration in search of the unknown. Hana has an easy straight forward approach to life that seems to suck people up into her wake which takes you on the adventure of a lifetime. A couple things you may not know about Hana are that she would love to be a doctor some day, reads Popular Mechanics, loves the real estate game and architecture, she also has a knack for home improvement. The things you may already know about Hana are her major accomplishments, including three Winter X-Games Silvers, numerous covers of magazines, and she recently produced her own web series on Snowboardermag.com titled "P.S. with Hana Beaman".
Jake Blauvelt
Jake is renowned for his fluid style and his ability to conquer the most challenging backcountry terrain. Jake brings big mountain riding to a new level, bringing first try backcountry landings to tricks better suited for a snowboard park or halfpipe. This is where Jake's experience and ability shine. Jake brings the big tricks to the big mountains and makes it all look easy. Its an honor to have Jake developing and taking pride in a product we have built together. WE have truly found what a snowboard is capable of. Jake pushes the limits of snowboarding and travels the world in search of new challenges, perfect snow and the pursuit of happiness. This year you can see it all for yourself in the second web series Jake has developed with FMG, in 2010 he made "Blauvelt's Backcountry" and in 2011 he made "Jake Blauvelt Naturally," both can be seen at www.fridaymg.com as well as www.jakeblauvelt.com. You will also find Jake in the 2011 Videograss production "Retrospect".
Marco Feichtner
We have witnessed some amazing talent all over the globe but when we first caught site of this Austrian we knew he had to join the team and represent the best of what the Alps had to offer. Ever since Marco joined the Ride team he has filled this role and then some, he continues to consistently blow people's minds with his relentless approach to natural freestyle snowboarding. Marco charges harder then most and has a work ethic like no other. The volume of photos and video footage that Marco gathers each season is astounding with the best of the best making it into the Pirates films over the past decade. Now, once again, be sure to set your sails for Pirates new film “Bottom Line”, and catch the best of what Marco threw down in 2011.
Silvia Mittermuller
Silvia calls Munich, Germany, home, but spends most of her time traveling the globe in search of all that snowboarding has to offer. Silvia is a strong athlete a serious competitor and she works well with others while traveling and filming with various productions over the years, like Neu Media’s all girl film, “Float,” and films from Runway films, Misschief films, and Isenseven. Silvia is constantly involved and in tune with her surroundings and is always willing to help and contribute to her family, friends, community and snowboarding. This coming winter Silvia plans to continue competing, as well as film for various projects.
