Dave Weins

"Every minute on a bike is a good minute"

Dave Wiens, the "Rockhound" is an exceptional athlete. A professional mountain biker for over 20 years, he has managed teams and is a fixture in the scene. With two US National Championships to his name, and a number of World Cup wins, in 2002 he was welcomed into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame. His talent on the bike is still strong, and his six wins in a row of the legendary Leadville 100 race in Colorado attest to it. Not only that, but both Lance Armstrong and Floyd Landis are amongst the riders which he has beaten. "I never did any of this to be seen as a hero or a legend, and find it quite strange. I am just a guy who likes to ride his bike, and likes to give my all when doing it."

Eddie O'Dea

"One for the high spirits"

Eddie O'Dea, born in 1975, is a passionate cyclist. He works, lives and plays with bicycles. His racing career began with cross country, but soon evolved into a focus on endurance. With a taste of success in the long distance races, Eddie began to push his limits and has since taken on sixteen solo 24 hour races with many podiums along the way. When not on the bike Eddie is a race director, professional bike fitter and technique instructor as well as a marketing representative for Topeak. He himself calls it "a love for the ardent spirits". Be it beer, wine or ye good ol' distillers fruit - Eddie is fond of all fine liquor. But being a responsible and disciplined bike racing pro, he keeps mastering the toughest cross country and endurance races for Topeak Ergon Racing Team of course - and cherishing every minute with his Namrita.

Jeff Kerkove

"Roll around the clock"

Jeff Kerkove loves to literally spend his day in the saddle. He has top results at some of the longest and hardest endurance mountain bike events in the USA. It never gets boring for Jeff, he just loves those varied high alpine routes that push the limits of the mind, body, and equipment. Afterwards he relaxes in front of his computer, surfing the net, and having a coffee. Jeff attaches great importance to these recovery phases. Simply, because he knows there is another long event or training session coming soon.

Namrita O'Dea

"You are what you eat"

Namrita has an academic degree in chemistry and nutritional science. Initially she took up work in a software company, which turned out to simply be way too boring for her! In 2006 she decided to combine her knowledge of healthy nutrition with her interest in endurance sports and chose to pursue a new career. She founded 55nine Performance working with triathletes, runners and bikers to help them accomplish their sporting goals with perfectly tailored nutrition plans and training schedules. To prove her concept she took part in eight endurance races in 2008, finishing seven of them within the top three! Food for thought.

Sonya Looney

"On the sunny side of life"

Sonya Looney is someone who knows a thing or two about stamina and what it takes to perform. Since 2008 she has podiumed at every single endurance competition that she entered - Every One. Based in Colorado she will take what is thrown at her. 3 feet of snow - no problem, 4000m / 12,000' elevation - no problem. Sonya just gets out there. Sonya is the sunshine in the team - literally. A former solar design engineer, she has now moved across to playing with bikes for a living. Of course, not everything from her old job has been left behind. Her nickname is 'Sunny'.

Yuki Ikeda

"Basketball?"

Yuki Ikeda was born and raised in Tokyo. From an early age on he showed an enthusiasm and talent for sport. Initially indulged in basketball winning the national Japanese high school championship for two consecutive years. In 2003 he moved to the United States so naturally he took up basketball again... actually no, he didn't. He turned to mountain biking. In 2007 he went pro and remains to be the only Japanese rider on the NORBA circuit. His greatest success to date was winning the 12 hours of Snowmass and finishing the Rocky Mountain Ultra Endurance Series in second place. Along the way Yuki manages to take some time to coach other bikers from beginner to pro.
