features and benefits of sheepskin
UGG® Australia uses only the highest-grade sheepskin available.
Twin-face sheepskin is used in many of our core products. A piece of twin-face sheepskin has been treated on both the fleece side, and the skin side, providing the soft comfort UGG® Australia is famous for.
Grade-A sheepskin is extremely dense and soft, which provides for a more comfortable and durable material. Lesser quality material and synthetics can be coarse, scratchy, and non-breathable. Grade-A sheepskin breathes naturally, wicking away moisture, and allowing air to circulate freely.
Fleece breathes, wicks moisture away, and allows air to circulate, keeping feet dry.
Sheepskin is naturally thermostatic thus keeping bare feet close to your natural body temperature regardless of the temperature outside.
30° below — the science behind thermostatic footwear
Our fine woolen sheepskin breathes, wicking heat and moisture away to keep your feet dry and at body temperature indoors and out.
Sheepskin is a naturally thermostatic material. This means that while you're wearing sheepskin, it's automatically regulating your body temperature throughout the day. Because of this, UGG® Australia sheepskin footwear can be worn all year round.
In addition to regulating body temperature, grade-A sheepskin breathes naturally, wicking heat and moisture away.

UGG women's Sheepskin insoleHow to use UGG® Australia Sheepskin Water and Stain Repellant
Please treat sheepskin and suede footwear with UGG® Water and Stain Repellent prior to wearing to avoid any initial staining. Please strictly follow the below instructions to avoid any damage during the water and stain repellent process.
Spray the sheepskin surface with UGG® Australia Sheepskin Water and Stain Repellant evenly until it appears wet, but not soaked.
Let the boots dry naturally for at least 24 hours. DO NOT dry in direct heat or sunlight.
Lightly brush in one direction with a very soft bristle suede/nubuck brush to raise the nap and natural tracking.
Please note that when properly used, UGG® Australia Water & Stain Repellent with a suede/nubuck brush will help to prevent, remove, and reduce stains and raise the nap and natural tracking of the material.
Like any fine garment, sheepskin is delicate and not all stains can be prevented or removed. With proper care and cleaning, you can expect your footwear to last longer, but we in no way guarantee that it will remove all stains nor prevent stains from occurring.
If you have any questions on how to care for your luxury footwear, please contact us at 1.888.432.8530. This product is safe for sheepskin when used as directed. The directions below must be followed closely to properly care for your sheepskin.
How to use UGG® Australia Sheepskin Cleaner and Conditioner
Hand wash only. DO NOT use a washing machine.
Moisten sheepskin footwear with clean, cold water.
Dilute UGG® Australia Cleaner & Conditioner with equal proportions water and Cleaner and Conditioner. DO NOT APPLY CLEANER and CONDITIONER DIRECTLY ONTO SHEEPSKIN FOOTWEAR.
Apply a small amount of diluted Cleaner & Conditioner solution to a clean wet sponge. DO NOT apply Cleaner & Conditioner directly onto footwear.
Gently scrub to clean entire area. Sheepskin has a delicate surface, which can be damaged if scrubbed aggressively, or with an undiluted concentration.
Rinse clean in clean, cold water; lightly stuff with paper to hold shape; allow to dry naturally and slowly. DO NOT dry in direct heat or sunlight.
Once footwear is dry, lightly brush with a very soft suede/nubuck brush in one direction only.
How To Clean Mongolian sheepskin
To clean the Mongolian sheepskin, lightly moisten the boots with cool water and gently wash with a mild detergent, such as the UGG Cleaner or Woolite. Rinse with cool, clean water and air dry away from direct sunlight. Once dry the very gently brush the boots with a fine suede brush to bring back the nap. To maintain shape, stuff your boots with paper while cleaning. To clean the longer wool around the cuff, gently run a wide tooth hair pick through each strand.
We do not recommend dry cleaning your UGG® footwear as chemicals and high heat may cause deformation or destruction. However, long wool rugs may be dry cleaned.

GENUINE UGG® AUSTRALIA
SECURITY LABEL
Every authentic UGG® Australia product beginning with the Fall 2010 season* will come with two-layers of security: contained in a reflective security label and/or security sticker, allowing you to instantly authenticate genuine UGG® products.
Simply locate the reflective security sticker on the outside of your shoebox. The sticker is embedded with two distinct features.
To view the first feature, turn the sticker 90 degrees and make sure the sun logos change from black to white on the reflective strip. Second, look at the same sticker's reflective strip, turn it at an acute angle and verify that the UGG® logo appears on the strip with some color reflecting.
If both security features perform as described, then you have an authentic UGG® Australia product.
If your product has a sewn in material content label it will also have a security label sewn in behind the label on the left boot or shoe and will work in the same manner as the sticker (note: if there is no sewn in label, a security sticker will be on the outsole of the left shoe).
* Please note that some "carry-over" styles may not contain the security label or sticker for a period of time.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR
Look for the new UGG® Australia reflective security sticker and/or label on every UGG® product you purchase. This reflective authentification sticker and/or label will be on every genuine UGG® product beginning with Fall 2010.* * Please note that some "carry-over" styles may not contain the security label or sticker for a period of time.
THE HEIGHT
The UGG® Australia Classic boots come in short (midcalf) and tall versions. Any variation on these heights are not genuine UGG® boots.
THE LOGO
A genuine UGG® has the registered trademark symbol ® next to its logo on the label.
THE TAG
UGG® Australia does not have hang tags on the sides of its boots.
TWIN-FACED SHEEPSKIN
UGG® boots are made from one piece of quality twin-faced (that's skin on one side, fluffy fleece on the other) sheepskin. Some fakes use synthetic "fleece" glued to pieces of suede or cheaper cowhide.
THE ORIGIN
Deckers' UGG® boots are made in China, so if the label says "Made in Australia," it is not an UGG®.
THE SOLE
The UGG® boot sole is one solid reinforced piece, about half an inch thick, flexible but firm, and has the logo embossed on the bottom.

Sizing Charts
If you are unsure which shoe size to purchase, please follow the following steps:
- Draw a straight line, longer than your foot, on a piece of paper.
- Place the paper on a flat surface. Stand on the line with your heel and longest toe centered on the line. If measuring a child's foot, it may be easier to hold the paper up to their foot.
- Place a mark on the line at the tip of the longest toe and at the back of the heel.
- Repeat steps 1-3 for the other foot.
- Measure the distance between the marks. Taking the larger of the two measurements, use the conversion chart to find your correct shoe size.
